Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received a group of Armenian-Argentinean benefactors, who in cooperation with the Hayastan Fund have been implementing charity programs in Armenia for nearly eight years. The total cost of the programs is close to $3.5 million US dollars.

The President of Armenia welcomed the guests and highly praised their patriotic work. On behalf of our nation, he thanked them for the activities carried out in recent years in different areas.

Serzh Sargsyan recalled warmly his official visit to Argentine in July, 2014. During his visit, he had the opportunity to see firsthand the high esteem which Armenians enjoy in Argentine, and their great repute in that country. According to the President, all this inspires us with pride and enthusiasm, while Armenia Street in Buenos Aires, according to President Sargsyan, can serve to many Armenian communities as a true example of Armenians’ ability to organize.

The President of Armenia highlighted contribution of the Armenians of Argentine to the advancement and empowerment of our Fatherland since independence. Considering the fact that present at the meeting were benefactors, who have achieved impressive results in different areas, the President of Armenia discussed with them possibilities of establishing by the businessmen of the enterprises in the promising areas of our economy which from the viewpoint of creating new jobs and attraction of new investments will be very beneficial for Armenia as well as for the entrepreneurs.

The Armenian-Argentinean benefactors noted with satisfaction that during each visit to Armenia, from year to year they see positive changes, and have been considering switching from charity to making investments in different areas. With this regard, representatives of the Armenian community of Argentine viewed candid discussions with the President of Armenia as inspiring and useful.
