 On December 16 the RA National Assembly continued the work of the extraordinary session and passed by voting the legislative initiatives debated on the previous day, after which the deputies continued debating in the first reading the package of the RA draft laws “On Agricultural Cooperatives” and “On Amending the RA Civil Code,” and the deputies Tevan Poghosyan, Mher Shahgeldyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, Artsvik Minasyan, Lernik Aleksanyan, Hovhannes Margaryan, Heghine Bisharyan presented their opinions on it.

The NA Factions (Rule of Law – Heghine Bisharyan, the ARF - Artsvik Minasyan and the Prosperous Armenia – Mikayel Melkumyan) presented their viewpoints on the issue.

The RA Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makaryan in his final speech thanked the deputies for concerned debates and the recommendations and noted that the most part of the recommendations is admissible.

The RA draft law “On Amending the RA Law on the Spirit Drinks Made of Grapes” was debated in the second reading.

The draft law “On Amending the RA Law on State Pensions,” submitted by the RA Deputy Minister of Defense Ara Nazaryan, was debated in the second reading.

The package of draft laws “On Amending the RA Law on Refugees and Asylum” and “On Amending the RA Law on State Duty” was also debated in the second reading.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Vakhtang Mirumyan submitted for the deputies’ debate in the first reading the package of draft laws “On Amending the RA Law on Gambling Games and Casinos” and “On Amending the RA Law on Advertisement.”

The parliament debated in the second reading and completely passing the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law on Taxes” and “On Amending the RA Law on Accumulating Pensions.”

Afterwards the deputies debated in the first reading the package of bills “On Amending the RA Water Code” and the enclosed bills submitted by the RA First Deputy Minister of Nature Protection Simon Papyan.

The Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment Tatshat Vardapetyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The NA deputies Mher Shahgeldyan, Vardan Ayvazyan, Tevan Poghosyan, Heghine Bisharyan, Hovhannes Margaryan and Mikayel Melkumyan delivered speeches on the package.

In his final speech Simon Papyan touched upon the deputies’ concerns and ureged them to submit recommendations in written form.

The RA draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Railway Transport” was debated in the first reading, which submitted the RA First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication.

The NA extraordinary session will continue on December 17.
