On 9-13 December the meeting of EDC Council is held in Yerevan to discuss the topic of “The implementation of new governing models in EaP countries”. The EDS Council meeting is hosted in Yerevan at the invitation of RPA Youth Organization. Since last year RPA Youth organization has joined this international organization. About 40 delegated from 20 countries arrived in Yerevan to participate in the meeting. It should be noted that EDS is the official student organization of EPP. The agenda of the meeting includes several questions, such as organizational issues, topics concerning future programs. It also includes the issue of adoption the resolution condemning the Armenian Genocide.
The EDS members will meet with both RA officials and youth and student organizations’ representatives. European Democrat Students is a student and youth political association. Being the largest youth organization in Europe, it represents over 1.600.000 students and young people in 35 member organizations from 31 countries in Europe. European Democrat Students organization unites student and political youth organizations to shape modern centre-right policies for Europe. Its stated goal is to promote a free, democratic and united Europe through a greater student mobility and comprehensive education policies across the continent.
