NICARAGUA’S NEWLY-APPOINTED AMBASSADOR PRESENTS HIS CREDENTIALS TO PRESIDENT

 Juan Ernesto Vasquez Araya, the newly-appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Republic of Armenia (residence in Moscow), handed over today his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

Armenia’s president congratulated the ambassador on starting his diplomatic tenure in our country and wished him success. Serzh Sargsyan expressed the hope that during his tenure Ambassador Araya, as Nicaragua’s first ambassador to our country, will make a considerable contribution to the development of interstate ties, thereby helping to reveal the real potential of bilateral collaboration and strengthen the friendly relations between Armenia and Nicaragua.

Nicaragua’s ambassador assured the president that his country seeks to develop relations with the friendly country of Armenia, and that during his time in office he will try his best to promote bilateral ties.

At the meeting, the parties attached importance to holding regular consultations between the two countries’ foreign affairs ministries, carrying out active work aimed at developing the necessary legal basis, promoting mutually beneficial cooperation within the frames of international organizations, as well as to stimulating trade and economic relations.
