On 4 October in the city of Sisian of Syunik marz an event was held dedicated to the Teacher’s Day. It was organized by the initiative of the Chairman of RPA Women’s Council Hermine Naghdalyan, RPA Syunik territorial organization and the Municipality of Sisian. During the event it was also held the award ceremony of pedagogues. The event was attended by the RA NA Deputy Ruzanna Muradyan, the Governor of Syunik marz Surik Khachatryan, the Mayor of Sisian Aghasi Hakobjanyan and other high-ranking officials. The pedagogues were awarded Diplomas, Letters of acknowledgment and presents by the Republican Party of Armenia, the RA Prime-minister, the RA Ministry of Defense, the RA Ministry of Education and Science, the Governor of Syunik marz, the Mayor of Sisian city.
All comprehensive, special schools, kindergartens and children and youth centres of Sisian and villages of the region received TVs and monetary awards. The pedagogues of the marz noted that these presents impose a high responsibility and are the guarantee of a caring attitude by the state towards teachers.
