 On December 5 the session of the Governmental Council of the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU), where the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan, the NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov, the deputy Ruzanna Muradyan took part. The RA Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan conducted the session of the Governmental Council. Members and Chairman of the Accounting Committee were elected by the members of the Council. Then by voting of the Council members Galust Sahakyan was elected Chairman of the ASPU Governmental Council.

In his speech the RA NA President has noted that he has started his activity in the educational environemnt and he is ready to support the University and contribute to the solution of the occurred problems. Galust Sahakyan has highlighted the availability of the powerful educational system, considering it the basis of the powerful state. According to the Head of the parliament, the educational environment shapes a society and directs it.

Then the ASPU Governmental Council listened to the Chancellor of the University Ruben Mirzakhanyan, who presented the financial report for 2014, then the envisaged programme and the budget for 2015. After the end of the session during the organized event the RA NA President was handed the memorial medal of the ASPU Governmental Council Chairman.
