 On December 5, 1000 parents of fixed-period servicemen will get the opportunity to visit their sons again. During the regular working conference it was reported that all preparations had already been finished. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to include the new names of the parents who applied till December 5 in the list. Persons in charge were instructed to ensure safe visit of the parents to the NKR and frontier zones jointly with the Road Police and Ambulance service. "This is one more important step to be close to soldiers and their families and our duty is to provide regular meeting of the soldiers residing in Yerevan with their parents. This policy will be long-lasting and any serviceman's parent without exception will get the opportunity to make use of this initiative", stressed Mayor Taron Margaryan.
This year, with the aim of providing convenience for disabled people 920 wheelchair ramps were constructed. The Mayor instructed the Committee for social affairs jointly with the corresponding board and the persons in charge of the administrative districts to inventory the streets where wheelchair access is needed and to include this problem in the list of the programs for the coming years till the problem has been completely solved. "We have announced many times that Yerevan is to be comfortable for everybody. And in this context the problem of wheelchair availability is of prior importance. Thus, in 2015 the program is to be continued within two years we will try to solve it completely", stressed the Mayor.
Taking into account that December 3 is the international day of disabled people Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to carry out various programs of social significance in December.
The head of the Department of Income Accounting and Collection reported that the rates for income collection in the recent 11 months had made up 100 % which is an unprecedented event. Stressing the importance of consistent work in income collection the Mayor said that in the issue of realization of various programs in the sphere of urban economy the sustainable results of income collections is of prior significance.
Concerning the activity of the international operator in waste removal and sanitary cleaning Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the persons in charge of the sphere to apply administrative penalties towards those who dump waste in undetermined spots.
The head of the Department of External Design and Advertisement reported that the New Year decoration of the capital had already started. It was instructed to involve private entrepreneurs in the process.
