 The repairing of the roofs of 1440 blocks of flats provided for 2014 has been finished in the capital.. Within the frames of the program 74700 sq m of flat roofs and 46700 sq m of slope roofs have been repaired. This was reported during the regular working conference. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the persons in charge to expand the volumes of the activities provided for 2015 in this direction and after carrying out inventory to include the roofs needing repairing in the program. «Involve condominiums in the process. Every year we support them in the issue of repairing roofs and porches but actually it is their obligation. We have succeeded condominiums today, however there are ones the work of which doesn't satisfy us as residents. So, concrete task is to be set before them and they are to submit monthly report on the expenditures. Their work is not only to collect money», stressed the Mayor.
The repairing of the porches of 727 blocks of flats has been finished in the administrative districts. The head of the department of Communal Services reported that taking into account the effectiveness of the program especially in the blocks of flats where besides porches the floors had been repaired as well. On the instruction of the Mayor, the program of 2014 suggested complex approach. Regarding winter preparations it was reported that doors and windows are being replaced and repaired, water pipes are being thermo-insulated. Concerning the issue of sanitary cleaning Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the persons in charge and the heads of the administrative districts to carry out everyday visits to the administrative districts and watch the process so as proper work would be provided. «There are no unsolvable problems so we must be consistent. We disburse proper amount of means to ensure proper sanitary cleaning in the capital. So be consistent, watch the work of communal services and see to it that they meet their obligations», said the Mayor of Yerevan. It was also instructed to take proper measures regarding those entities and leasers who don't meet their obligations..
The head of the department of Transport reported that the control over the public transport in the capital in going on. Mayor Taron Margaryan considered the presented statistics not satisfactory and instructed to carry out inspections together with the road police and to involve in the process the members of the Council of Elders of Yerevan and the mass media.
Regarding the beginning of the heating season in educational and cultural establishments it was reported to inform the directors of these establishments about proper using of the systems and that safe exploitation of the heating systems is under their personal responsibility.
