RPA Vice-Chairman, RA Prime-Minister Hovik Abrahamyan met with the members of RPA Women’s Council, Chairmen of Yerevan and regions

 On November 4, 2014 the RPA Vice-Chairman, RA Prime-Minister Hovik Abrahamyan met with the members of RPA Women’s Council, Chairmen of Yerevan and regions. The Chairman of RPA Women’s Council, Vice-President of the National Assembly Hermine Naghdalyan represented the works done by the Women’s Council and their party activities. In recent years the participation of women in the Republican Party of Armenia has been prominent: women inner-party activity, participation in party formation and development processes, inter-party and external activity. Mr. Abrahamyan attached importance to the role of women in the party, underlined the need of activation of works in regions and territorial organizations, stressed the importance of support to female party members in realization of further working programs both by the central party bodies and territorial organizations.
Several issues were discussed including educational, women’s enterprise, women’s involvement in the development of small and medium-sized business.
The RA Law on Temporary Disability Benefits was also discussed. The RA Prime-Minister shared concerns and views of the members of RPA Women’s Council in terms of representation of the bill aimed at solving demographic challenges. The participants welcomed the Government position on granting benefits of motherhood to unemployed pregnant women (about 30000 women).
Mr. Abrahamyan in his speech stressed the importance of such kind of meetings, proposed frequency, and expressed his gratitude to the members, activists of the council for their devoted work.
