 During the regular working conference in the City Hall of Yerevan the head of the Department of Nature Protection reported that they are going to start landscaping process in the capital on March 5. The Mayor instructed to pay particular attention to sanitary pruning of trees. Taron Margaryan added that within the frames of 2014 programs of yard improvement the process of green areas expansion would be continued. The Mayor also noted that in parallel with the improvement of 400 yards they had made a preliminary agreement with private companies on the improvement of additional 200 yards.
The process of notification of the entrepreneurs about obligatory improvement of surrounding areas is still going on and the schemes of the areas to be landscaped are given them as well. The Mayor told the participants of the conference that at the weekend he watched the process of sanitary cleaning in person. And as he was not satisfied with the results he instructed the persons in charge to strengthen the control over the process of keeping cleanness in all the administrative districts.
It was reported that the inspections in the kindergartens keep being carried out with the participation of the persons in charge of the staffs of the Municipality and the administrative districts. Thus, as a result of the inspection carried out last week no defects were found in 26 inspected kindergartens.
Because of the defects and violations revealed in 4 companies the contracts with them were cancelled and the data were sent to the RA Ministry of Finance.
Regarding the tender for choosing the organizations carrying out regular passenger transportation it was reported that a new competition had been announced which was scheduled for April 10. The Mayor instructed to provide through mass media regular information of public and the interested companies about the terms and schedule of holding the competition.
Taron Margaryan also instructed to inventory the streets closed because of construction activities and to take actions so that these streets were put into operation as soon as possible.
It was reported that the projects for improvement and landscaping of the area adjacent to the Komitas Museum are ready and the main works has been started.
