 A regular meeting the Chess Federation of Yerevan took place in the Armenian Chess Academy. The issue of election the President of Federation was included in the agenda. As a result of voting Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was elected President of the Federation.
The participants of the meeting also elected the members of the presidium as well as the members of revision commission. Mayor Taron Margaryan expressed gratitude for the confidence and for the activities carried out by the former leader of the Federation and stressed that the federation had achieved significant success within the recent period.
Taron Margaryan thanked the former President of the Federation and added that the activity of the federation will go on being transparent and in the nearest future not only the activities carried out by the Federation but the success and achievements got as a result of those activities as well would become more visible to the chess society.
The Mayor also outlined all the steps which are taken in the direction of chess development and popularization in the capital.
