Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to the RA

 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to the RA Elita Gavele. The Honorary Consul of Latvian Republic to the RA Armen Ghasaboghlyan was also present at the meeting.
Greeting the guests Taron Margaryan first of all congratulated her on taking the responsible office of Latvia to Armenia and stressed that the friendly relations formed between Yerevan and Riga which had become more strengthened after signing the Treaty on Brotherhood in July of this year, are a good basis for the implementation of all outlined programs. "The development of friendly and business relations between Yerevan and Riga are based the friendship existing between our countries and our peoples and this is proved by the bilateral visits which have become more frequent recently. I am confident that we will be able to realize all the items outlined by the Treaty on Brotherhood signed in Riga and implement various programs for the welfare of our capitals", said Taron Margaryan.
Expressing gratitude for warm reception the Ambassador of Latvia to the RA attaching importance to the willingness of the Armenian party and the policy adopted by it, in her turn expressd willingness to show any support within her powers to expand the existing cooperation between the two capitals. "The cooperation between Yerevan and Riga can be reaaly considered exemplary. Today the interaction formed between the two capitals is on firm bases and I will do my best within my powers, Mister Mayor, to assist in the expansion of the frame of cooperation between the two cities", said Elita Gavele.
Within the scope of the meeting the parties exchanged their thoughts about making the cooperation between the business circles of Yerevan and Riga more practical.
