Open Lesson in the National Assembly

On October 22 within the framework of the NA Open Lesson programme the students of Pokr Mher (Little Mher) Educational Complex visited the parliament. First they attended the sitting of the National Assembly, and then had a meeting with the NA President Hovik Abrahamyan. Welcoming the students of the Educational Complex in the National Assembly the Head of the Parliament introduced the order of the formation of the legislative body, the activity of the NA Standing Committees and parliamentary factions, the procedures of the elaboration and adoption of the legislative initiatives. The NA President expressed readiness to support all the processes, which would promote the development of the Educational Complex. Mr Abrahamyan urged the students of the Educational Complex to effectively use the educational years, to get knowledge and become a proper citizen for the state and family. Mr Abrahamyan highlighted such meetings and their continuity. He proposed the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport to organize a visit in future the Pokr Mher Educational Complex to get acquainted with the problems on the spot and assist them if necessary.
The students of the Educational Complex gave as a present to Mr Abrahamyan the necklace Cross of the War.
The Director of the Educational Complex, colonel Ara Muradyan thanked Mr Abrahamyan for reception and open lesson.
The Committee Chairman touched upon the main legislative and oversight functions of the parliament of the country, the works of the NA Specialized Standing Committees and the parliament-government cooperation.
At the end of the meeting Artak Davtyan also urged the students of the Educational Complex to study well and contribute to the building of the country’s future.
