Taron Margaryan had meeting with the President of the Regional Council of Rhone-Alpes

 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan who visited France with the aim of participation in the conference of the Armenian-French Decentralized Cooperation, had a meeting with the Presidents of the Regional Council of Rhone-Alpes Jean-Jack Queyranne.
Greeting the guests Jean-Jack Queyranne first of all referred to the Armenia-French relations and stressed that they are really on high level and this is not surprising taking into account the centuries-old friendship between the two peoples. In this regard he assessed holding the conference of the Armenian-French Decentralized Cooperation as necessary and appropriate which, according to Queyranne proves in a best way that not only the inter-governmental relations between the two countries but also the inter-communal and regional ties are on the necessary height. Jean-Jack Queyranne noted that the Armenian community of France certainly has its great role in this issue for it has its influential place and authority in Rhone-Alpes region and represents the kind of hard-working and creative people.
Expressing gratitude for best regards and warm welcome the representatives of the Armenian delegation assured that they appreciate the willingness of their French colleagues in the issue of deepening the inter-communal and inter-regional cooperation. Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan particularly said that today there is tight cooperation with a number of French communities including Lyon with which they have implemented and keep implementing a number of important projects. Taron Margaryan expressed confidence that in the future the bilateral ties will become deeper and stronger.
Wishing success to the work of the second conference of the Armenian-French Decentralized Cooperation, the president of the Regional Council of Rhone-Alpes jean-Jack Queyranne said that the conference will benefit making the bilateral relations closer and stronger.
