The fifth Armenian festival-fair “Golden pomegranate” has been held in Moscow

The delegation headed by the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Aram Sukiasyan participated in the solemn ceremony of opening the fifth annual fair of the goods produces by Armenian producers called "Golden pomegranate" which was held in Moscow. This already traditional fair was dedicated to the 22nd anniversary of the RA independence.
The head of the Department of Foreign Economical and International Relations of the city of Moscow Andrey Chizhov greeted the members of Yerevan delegation of the Moscow Government which supported in fair arrangement and particularly said that “Golden pomegranate is the rebirth of the tradition of holding similar Armenian events in the Russian Federation. "It is directed both at the development of commercial and economical relations between Moscow and Yerevan and at strengthening the business and cultural ties between our peoples", said Andrey Chizhov.
More than 100 Armenian produces participated in the fair and presented traditional Armenian food, as well as books, other national aesthetical works and so on.
The Moscow and Yerevan groups of national musical instruments, songs and dances participated in the opening of the fifth fair ‘Golden pomegranate”.
Within the frames of the working visit to Moscow Yerevan Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan also had a meeting with the Minister of Moscow Government, the head of the Department of Foreign Economical and International relations of Sergey Cheryomin. During the meeting they discussed the issues related to the development of bilateral relations, particularly to the program of cooperation between Yerevan and Moscow in 2012-2016, as well as the organizational issues related to Days of Yerevan to be held in Moscow on November 29-30.
“We attach importance to our cooperation with Moscow. Our relations are developing and we are certain that this process will be long-lasting. The “Golden pomegranate” fair-festival which has already become traditional, is one of the best examples of the bilateral cooperation. The implementation of programs and projects in various spheres, partnership of different formats between the municipality of Yerevan and the government of Moscow, as well as between the administrative units of the two cities are very important for us”, said Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Aram Sukiasyan.
Sergey Cheryomin in his turn said that there are all the possibilities for development of mutually beneficial cooperation and pointed out that a new cooperation program for 2014-2016 will be signed within the frames of Yerevan days in Moscow,
