Yerevan is furnished with new guide signs

Within the frames of the activities directed at external look formation the Municipality of Yerevan furnished some central streets and squares with new guide signs.
The guide signs written in Armenian and English give the opportunity to the townspeople and the guests to orientate in the capital more easily. The guide boards also show the places and directions of cultural centers.
The signs are made in accordance with international standards and in harmony with the general style of Yerevan. The type of letters and the height of the signs had been studied from the point of view of convenience for pedestrians by the specialists of the sphere beforehand.
The head of the Department of External Design and Advertisement of the Municipality Araz Baghdasaryan said that the experimental signs placed in the capital in April got wide respond with the residents and as a result it was decided to go on the project.
In the future it is planned to place such guide boards in the streets of all administrative districts.
Other elements of decoration such as modernization of the boards with the numbers of the buildings and advertisement boards will be worked out and included in the further programs of external design of the capital.
