 By the invitation of benefactor Vahagn Hovnanyan Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan visited Vahagni living quarter. The Mayor on spot was presented the model and the draft of "Armenia is a splendid place" project which is planned in Vahagni quarter. In the area of about 75.000 sq m it is provided for to build the small copy of historical Armenia which will include Big Hayq, Small Hayq, the Armenia of present day and Artsakh.
According to the leader of the project, small models of buildings, palaces, fortresses, churches and other sights and important constructions will be built in the open-air park. Hundreds similar projects have been realized in the world, but as he authors of the project noted, only about ten of then have a national character. As they assures, the project to be implemented in Yerevan, will replenish the list of those projects. Within the frames of the meeting Mayor Taron Margaryan was also presented the project of continuativeness and expansion of the quarter development.
Expressing gratitude for the initiative the Mayor said that the idea is really interesting, historical and cognitive.
Taron Margaryan also stressed that the Municipality is willing to support implementation of the project within its powers.
Vahagn Hovnanyan in his turn thanked the Mayor of Yerevan for cooperation and permanent support.
Accompanied by benefactor Vahagh Hovnanyan the Mayor toured about the area of Vahagni living quarter.
