 Before turning to the items on the agenda during the weekly working conference in the City Hall Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan awarded the head of the Department of Yerevan Rescue Service of the RA MES RS, Colonel of RS Mushegh Ghazaryan with "Honorary Rescuer of Yerevan" medal for his active participation in the sphere of public security, prevention of emergency situations, elimination of possible consequences and rapid reaction, as well as for proper organization and holding of the measures of civil defence.
Congratulating the recipient of the award and expressing gratitude to him for his devoted work the mayor expressed hope that in the future the cooperation will also be productive and efficient.
Turning to the issues on the agenda Mayor Taron Margaryan spoke about his meeting with the residents of the hostel in Vardashen and instructed to finish the process of handing one of the buildings under the community ownership in possibly short time cooperating the work with corresponding structures and to take steps to start the process of privatization of the flats by the residents.
"In one of the buildings we have already fulfilled the process of privatization and the residents were given the certificates. In the second building there is still a lot to be done so that the problem of privatization of the flats of these citizens could be solved", stressed Taron Margaryan.
The Mayor also instructed to study and to submit proposals regarding the possibility of supplying the hostel buildings with gas.
Referring to the measures organized on the event of the Day of Knowledge the head of the Department of General Education reported that the events were organized on proper level in all the schools subordinated to the Municipality. Deputy Mayors of Yerevan, leaders of the administrative districts, representatives of the Municipality staff as well as members of the Council of Elders visited schools. It was also reported that the first-form pupils have already been distributed books and the process of distribution of the books in senior forms will be over within a week.
The head of the Department of Health reported that the medical posts in all schools had been provided with first-aid materials and medicines. It was also reported that within the frames of the month of safe traffic announce in the capital for September 1-30 intensive supervision is set by the Police in the areas adjacent to educational establishments.
Summarizing "Yerevan summer: project it was reported that all the actions were held at proper level. The final action was held at the area adjacent to the Swan's Lake. Regarding the free medical action held within the project the head of the Department of Health reported that of 2947 citizens referred to the municipality subordinated policlinics 1070 were referred for additional treatment, 60 operations had been performed another 25 people will be operated in the nearest future. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to keep at focus the whole process and after finishing the project completely present information of the work done.
Referring to issues of the free museum tickets distributed within "Yerevan summer" program which remained unused the Mayor instructed to give the opportunity to visit museums by these free tickets till September 10.
"Yerevan summer" project has been implemented in the capital for the first time but it should become a tradition and be more inclusive and full of various actions. A corresponding program is to be worked out in this direction and suggestions should already be submitted», stressed Mayor Taron Margaryan.
Regarding the sanitary cleaning activities carried out within «A cleaner Yerevan» project the head of the Department of Communal Services reported that the program was completed with the work carried out in two parks of Arabkir district. Expressing his satisfaction with the work done Mayor Taron Margaryan thanked all the structures and volunteers participated in the activities.
Referring to the activities carried out within "Come Home" project by the Municipality it was reported that Davtashen, Ajapnyak and Shengavit districts were recognized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora as "Best administrative districts» and the Aloyans family living in Kanaker Zeitun district which hosted 5 children from Diaspora was recognized «the best host family". The control over obligatory improvement and landscaping of the areas surrounding their objects by economy entities is still going on. It was reported that in the future the characteristics of the activities required from entities will be presented to all involved structures.
Regarding the activities carried out in the direction of keeping the new order of parking in the capital the mayor instructed to watch the process closely and take corresponding actions in case of revealing violations.
Turning to the activities carried out to implement "Old Yerevan" project mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to present regular information on the work done to the public taking into account the big interest concerning the project.
