At the Conference on the Theme “The Public Movement in Armenia at the Modern Phase: New Challenges and Perspectives”

On 23 July 2013 in the Writers’ Creative House of Tsaghkadzor the conference with the heading “The Public Movement in Armenia at the Modern Phase: New Challenges and Perspectives” launched. It was organized by the Armenian Association of Women with University Education. The conference is held by the sponsorship of the RA National Assembly, the OSCE Office in Yerevan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The President of the Armenian Association of Women with University Education, Jemma Hasratyan had an opening speech. Andrey Sorokin, the Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan and the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Hermine Naghdalyan welcomed the participants.

Welcoming the start of the conference Mrs Naghdalyan highlighted the subjects under discussion, deeming them the important problems of the modern period. She has noted that in the globalizing world the discussion of the organization of the public life and the directions of the development is on the agenda during current period for Armenia.

On July 23-26 the conference will convene six plenary meetings. During those days members of the Yereva, Masis, Ijevan, Abovian, Artashat, Sevan, Vanadzor, Gyumri, Talin, Kapan, Echmiadzin, Spitak branches of the Armenian Association of Women with University Education and the NGOs delivered speeches.

During the conference issues pertaining to the problems of the NGOs and the development of the country, modern processes of globalization, the tendencies of the formation of the political culture and the globalization of the education in the conditions of new challenges.

On July 26 the conference will end its work.
