 On the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the Department of Social Welfare of the Municipality of Yerevan exercises permanent control over proper implementation of social programs.
With this aim regular inspections are carried out to the territorial divisions of social services to get acquainted on spot with their everyday work and services rendered to needy population.
At the discussion convened in Avan district with the participation of the heads of social divisions of the administrative districts and the persons in charge of the territorial divisions of social services the programs implemented in the first half of 2013 and the programs scheduled by the end of the year were discussed.
Particularly the results of registration of needy population by social services in the same period and the rates of state welfare payment and their actual payment were presented.
The head of the Department of Social Welfare of the Municipality of Yerevan Ruzanna Zakaryan noted that on the instruction of the Mayor the control over the issues raised by needy citizens, their applications and proposals is to be at the focus of attention to give possible solutions and to provide proper social services.
The participants of the discussion also visited «The complex center for integrated social services» opened in Avan district, where the population is rendered complex social services through «One window» and «One stop» principles. By the way, such centers also function in Nubarashen, Erebuni, Ajapnyak, Davtashen and Nork Marash districts.
