 The issues related to the study of the system of financial management were discussed during the meeting of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan with the regional financial manager of European and Central Asian region of the World Bank Sukeina Kane.
Greeting the guest Mayor Taron Margaryan thanked the World Bank for the assistance showed to the Municipality of Yerevan in financial management system assessment and expressed hope that the joint programs will be long lasting.
"I'd like to express gratitude for the successful cooperation with the World Bank in various fields. Ensuring the effectiveness the systems of financial management in the city is a problem of priority for us, and our goal is to have financial management systems corresponding to the international standards and best experience", said Taron Margaryan.
The regional financial manager of European and Asian region of the WB expressing gratitude for warm reception stressed that the Municipality of Yerevan is a reliable and serious partner for the World Bank.
"The interest and willingness of the Municipality of Yerevan in providing effectiveness of the financial management systems in the city are a big step towards success in the sphere. Today a favourable field is provided for a dialogue and cooperation and it will certainly give its results", said Sukeina Kane.
At the end of the meeting Mayor Taron Margaryan once again expressed hope that all the problems outlined by the Municipality today, will get solutions as a result of teamwork and cooperation.
