 Within his working visit to the administrative district of Malatia Sebastia Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan familiarized himself with the results of yard improvement program of 2013 and participated in the solemn ceremonies of opening in a number of improved yards.Due to the improvement activities started in the yard areas of the buildings n 137 and "Ray V" in South-western quarter all the conditions for proper organization of the residents’ rest have been provided. A mini football ground which is also convenient for playing basketball has been constructed here.Together with the residents Mayor Taron Margaryan solemnly opened the improved yard, walked about the area and familiarized himself with the work done, then had a talk with the residents who expressed their delight to the Mayor for consistency in yard improvement.
By the way, the improvement of the mentioned yard was accomplished due to efficient cooperation of Yerevan Municipality and the private sector, with the participation of private investors.Taron Margaryan also took part in the opening of the yard at Raffi 69 and 77 in B-1 quarter. As the residents gathered in the yard assured, having a well-arranged yard had been a dream for years and today it has become true making both the grown-ups and the children happy. In some separated zones bowers and benches have been placed, a playground for children has been constructed and equipped.There is a mini football ground in this yard , too and the children here promised the mayor to uphold the honour of Yerevan with their new achievements. Walking about the yard and watching the work done Taron Margaryan urged the residents to treat the area with care. Expressing their gratitude the residents said that they were ready to keep and protect the area so that it could be handed down to generations. The improvement of the yard at Raffi 77 in Malatia Sebastia district has also been accomplished by private sector financing.During the visit Mayor Taron Margaryan also participated in solemn opening of the yard area at Ohanov 52 and 54 and cut the symbolic ribbon together with the little residents of the yard. Talking with the residents and hearing out their proposals the Mayor stressed that everything had been done and would be done to provide proper recreation of the residents.The landscaped, well-arranged, equipped with attractions yard area used to be neglected for more than 30 years. The Mayor walked about and familiarized himself with the yards of the surrounding buildings and the activities of football ground improvement.The yards at Sherami 39, 63, 65, 67 have also been constructed due to this year's improvement program. Now they will serve as a special recreation corner both for the residents of these yards and for the people living in surrounding buildings. Taron Margaryan was the first to meet yens of children in this yard who had already checked the convenience of the new attractions.As the residents assured the improvement of the yard was a big and expected present and they were really grateful for it. "We have announces many times that all the yards in Yerevan will be improved and handed to residents. In the recent two years a large-scale work has been accomplished in all the administrative districts and we have scheduled to improve 400 yards annually. This year in Malatia Sebastia district we have already improved about 10 yards and handed them to residents. This work will go on till the end of the year and we hope to finish the program of improvement of all the yards in the capital within three years. Our residents in their turn are ready to give up voluntarily the illegally occupied areas. And I am sure that together with the residents we’ll be able to accomplish the work successfully", said Taron Margaryan.On the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, within the frames of yard improvement activities special attention is paid to protection and expansion of green areas. With this aim the problem of irrigation is solved primarily.
At the end of the working visit Mayor Taron Margaryan visited the yard camp organized in the area of the school N 198, got acquainted with the activities arranged for the children who spend their summer holidays in the capital. The responsible persons reported the Mayor that sport and cultural events and cognitive measures are carried out within the frames of camp organization making the everyday life of children more interesting and complete.
