RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan Receives with the Prosecutor General of the Islamic Republic of Iran

On May 2 the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan received the delegation led by the Prosecutor General of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Ejehei.

Welcoming the guests the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan expressed conviction that the official visit of the IRI Prosecutor General would boost the Armenian-Iranian cooperation based on mutual trust. In Hovik Abrahamyan’s word, the Armenian-Iranian cooperation promotes the reinforcement of the regional peace and stability. He highlighted the development of bilateral relations in all spheres, noting that the reached agreements are mainly called to life, and the evidence of which is the resoluteness from both sides for more deepening the friendly and practical relations existing between the two countries. The NA President highlighted the further development and strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations. Hovik Abrahamyan has noted that the Armenian side attaches a great importance to the development of the trade-economic relations, and has expressed satisfaction in connection with the positive move registered in bilateral economic relations during the recent years. The Head of the parliament has underlined that in Armenia they always highly appreciate the traditional warm attitude of the IRI authorities shown towards the Armenian community of Iran, and one of the manifestations of which is the care towards the Armenian cultural values, which, unfortunately, is not noticed by the other neighbours.

The IRI Prosecutor General Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Ejehei thanked for the reception, highly assessing the current level of the Armenian-Iranian political and economic relations. To his conviction, there are numerous spheres, where it is possible to activate and develop the cooperation. The IRI Prosecutor General also highlighted the cooperation between the parliaments and the cooperation in international structures.

In the course of the meeting the sides touched upon the regional problems and discussed other issues of bilateral interest.
