In accordance with the memorandum signed between Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and the director of UCOM company Hayk Yesayan in 2012, by the end of the year 15 schools subordinated to the Municipality of Yerevan will have classrooms equipped with computer appliances.
This enduring program is one of the best examples of cooperation between the Municipality and the private sector.
Deputy Mayor Vano Vardanyan, the head of the Department of General Education Gayane Soghomonyan and the director of UCOM company Hayk Yesayan were present at the opening of one of such classrooms furnished with new equipment in the basic school N 19 after Nikol Aghbalyan.
Interactive communication with the schools in other countries will be provided from these IT classes. Due to cooperation between the Municipality of Yerevan and UCOM the first computer classroom was opened last year in the school N 156 in Achapnyak district. Today, besides the school N 19 computer classrooms have been opened in the schools N 2 and N 192 subordinated to the Municipality.
