Yerevan schoolchildren visited the monuments to the people after whom their schools are named

Today pupils of the schools subordinated to the Municipality of Yerevan visited the monuments of the honoured people after whom their schools had been named.
On the event of the Day of Protection of Monuments the schoolchildren spent a lesson cleaning the areas of the monuments, then put flowers at the monuments of prominent figures.
The pupils of all the basic schools of the capital including the pupils of the schools which hadn't been named yet participated in the citywide action organized by the Municipality of Yerevan, the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Culture.
The schoolchildren also took part in exemplary lessons at those monuments where they spoke about the persons whose monument they visited and about their authors.
The Deputy Mayor Vano Vardanyan, the head of the Department of General Education Gayane Soghomonyan were present at the actions, too.
