Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan together with the head of the department of Land Defenders' Union Manvel Grigoryan participated in the opening of the memorial board of the freedom fighter of Artsakh war Hayk Khachatryan.
The memorial board, in accordance with the decision of the Council of Elders dated November 28,2012, was placed on the front part of the building N127.2 at Nor Aresh 35th street where the azatamartik had lived till 1993.
At the age of 16 Hayk Khachatryan as a member of voluntary units participated in deliberation of Kelbajar, Kubatlu and the villages of Martakert district and was killed on December 26 1993 during the actions of deliberation of Mataghis.
Hayk Khachatryan’s father, Ararat Khachatryan on behalf of the whole family expressed his deep gratitude to Mayor Taron Margaryan for permanent attention and support shown to the families of all azatamartiks including their own family.
