On the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the Deputy Mayor Kamo Areyan held an expanded conference within the framework of which the program of preparations for the winter 2012-2013 was discussed. The heads of the corresponding departments of the municipality and of the communal divisions of the administrative districts, directors of sanitary and landscaping companies as well as the leaders of the structures of living maintenance participated in the conference.
Kamo Areyan noted that in winter months it’s necessary to arrange the work in all directions as fast and effective as possible so that the residents won’t face any problem in these issues. The heads of the communal divisions of the administrative districts were instructed to eliminate possible defects in machinery within a week’s term and keep the equipment ready simultaneously going on storage of appropriate quantity of salt and sand.
It was mentioned that this year besides technical and labour resources of the Municipality and the administrative districts the facilities of building organizations will be involved in cleaning up the streets, yard areas and parks of the capital. And the workers of landscaping companies in winter will assist in the process of cleaning the pavements, parks and gardens. Separate working groups will be formed on leasing basis as well.
The whole process will be controlled by the operative headquarter formed on the Mayor's decision last year. The headquarter has been instructed to respond quickly to possible alarm calls of the residents cooperating tightly with the dispatcher’s services of "Yerevan Gas", "Yerevan Jur" and "Electricity lines of Armenia" companies. The heads of the latter presented the work done and to be done in the direction of ensuring uninterrupted work in winter months. On behalf of Mayor Taron Margaryan Kamo Areyan draw the attention of the leaders life maintenance structures to uninterrupted securing of regular work of educational and health establishments pointing out that the activities in this direction should be finished before snow falls. The heads of the corresponding divisions of the administrative districts were instructed to finish thermo-insulation of buildings and constructions in short time and to replace broken glass of the doors and windows by means of condominiums.
