On October 16 the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan took part in the solemn awarding ceremony of the party member teachers, organized by the RPA Women’s Council.

By the decree of the RA President, Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan a group of RPA member teachers of Yerevan and of all marzes of the Republic were awarded the RPA letters of acknowledgement.

The RA NA President awarded 6 teachers the NA Medal of Honour.

Personally handing over the awards and congratulating the awarded ones the NA President has noted that this mission is very honourable for him because we speak about teacher, who has been close for us in all times and remains close, devoted to his/her job. “You have earned this respect. We should do more for school, for a pedagogue, who brings up, educates our future generation. It is a duty, obligation.” “Once again I would like to congratulate all of you in the name of the President of Armenia, the RPA President Serzh Sargsyan, National Assembly, the Republican Party on the Teacher’s Day and wish you patience and success. You have always been next to the state, statehood and people.”

Highlighting and highly appreciating the teacher’s role in the upbringing of the young generation, the NA Vice President, the Chairperson of the RPA Women’s Council Hermine Naghdalyan in her word wished the RPA member pedagogues health and limitless energy in their pedagogical activity.

The Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan, was also attending the RPA member teachers’ solemn awarding ceremony, also handed over awards to the pedagogues.

Medals, letters of acknowledgement and diplomas were handed over to the RPA member teachers by the RA Ministries of Defense and Education and Science.
