 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with the president of the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamyan and the voce-speaker of the RF state Duma Artur Chilingarov who arrived in Yerevan to join in the "Erebuni-Yerevan 2784" celebration.Greeting the guests the Mayor first of all thanked them for joining in the celebration of Yerevan day then said that this is another proof of the fact that Yerevan is the capital of all Armenians and in case of opportunity our compatriots living outside Armenia always participate in Yerevan day. “We highly appreciate your efforts and your contribution to strengthening the friendship between the people of Armenia and Russia, this is very important for us”, said the Mayor and expressed confidence that the guests would go on contributing to strengthening and expansion of the ties not only between the two peoples but also between Yerevan and the cities of Russia.Expressing gratitude for the reception the guests in their turn pointed out that regardless the place of living Yerevan has always been a hometown and assured that they would certainly go on to their best to promote both cultural and business relations between Yerevan and the cities of Russia. Ara Abrahamyan also assured that the Union of Armenians of Russia is ready to take part in the process of investment programs implementation in Yerevan.Mayor Taron Margaryan in his turn assured that the Municipality is open and willing to show any support within its powers in the initiatives directed at Yerevan development.
