Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with the President of the NKR Bako Sahakyan

Within the scope of the official visit to Stepanakert Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had meeting with the President of the NKR Bako Sahakyan. Greeting the signing of the treaty of friendship among the municipalities of Yerevan and Stepanakert the president of Artsakh said that it is another important display of constant strengthening relationship between Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh which has a wide perspective for development."Today Yerevan has a huge potential and the development and expansion of relations between the two capitals will greatly contribute to economical progress not only of Stepanakert but of whole Artsakh as well. Taking the opportunity I'd like to express gratitude to you, Mr. Margaryan for such a rapid respond to our proposal and today Yerevan and Stepnakert have become partner cities", said Bako Sahakyan.Having thanked the president of the NKR for warm welcome Mayor Taron Margaryan presented in brief the cooperation directions provided by the signed treaty and assured that after specification of the priorities in accordance with spheres by the working groups the cooperation programs are to be put on practical basis in short time. The Mayor expressed hope that the result won't be awaited long. «The structural subdivisions of the Yerevan Municipality really have enough experience and we will gladly hand it down to our partners. I am sure it will greatly contribute to efficient governing of Stepanakert and to its development», said Taron Margaryan and added that Yerevan is ready to extend a hand of cooperation to other communities of the NKR.
