After a month’s repairing the school N 2 subordinated to the Municipality has been re-opened. Though school started on September 1, the solemn re-opening tool place on the day of the 180th jubilee of the school.The head of the Department of General Education of the Municipality of Yerevan Gayane Soghomonyan conveyed those presents the address of the Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan on the event of the jubilee and awarded the staff of the school having 180—year history with the Yerevan Mayor’s diploma.On the instruction of the Mayor the heating system of the school will have been completely repaired by the beginning of the heating season.
It should be mentioned the three-storey building of the school has been overhauled within the scope of “Help your school” campaign at the expenses of the graduate of this school Garegin Nushikyan who has been awarded with the medal “Honorary pupil” of the school after Kachatur Abovyan on the decision of the pedagogical council of the school.It’s notable that the 180-year-old school is the first state school in Yerevan and since 1925 it has had the name of its 6th headmaster Khachatur Abovyan.
