On September 11 the RA National Assembly continued the work of the four-day sittings. The NA deputies by voting adopted the issues debated on the previous day and carried on the debate of the agenda items.

Arman Sahakyan, Head of the Department of the State Property Management adjunct to RA Government, presented for debate in the first reading the RA draft law “On Recognizing Non Valid the RA Law on Free Privatization of the Apartments of the State Housing Fund.”

Vardan Ayvazyan, Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, said that the draft law had been debated and endorsed.

The Chairman of the Control Chamber Ishkhan Zakaryan presented the 2011 annual report of the Control Chamber.

The Chairman of the Control Chamber noted that numerous examples of revealed violations and shortcomings are presented in the current reports.

Ishkhan Zakaryan touched upon the recommendations submitted to the National Assembly and the Government.

The Chairman of the Control Chamber also answered the NA deputies’ questions.

According to the NA President Hovik Abrahamyan, every day the RA Control Chamber makes a report on violations and speculations registered in different spheres, but the speculations continue. He asked the opinion of the Chairman of the Control Chamber about using more effective preventive events. The Head of the parliament considered not right turning to the operative control format of the RA Control Chamber. He urged the deputies to propose concrete and global solutions for preventing the violations.

The Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Social Affairs Sukias Avetisyan also touched upon the proposals made during the current reports and if they were solved.

The National Assembly will continue the debate of the issue on September 12.
