PRESIDENT SERZH SARGSYAN HELD A FAREWELL MEETING WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF LITHUANIA TO ARMENIA GIEDRIUS APUOKAS

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan held a farewell meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Armenia Giedrius Apuokas, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in our country.
Noting, that in the Armenian-Lithuanian relations the political dialogue in particular, has become rather active and cooperation between the two countries has been raised to a qualitatively new level, Serzh Sargsyan underscored that in all these Ambassador Giedrius Apuokas has his contribution. The President of Armenia thanked the Ambassador and expressed hope that the next Lithuanian Ambassador in our country will be able to preserve the dynamics and develop them further.
The parties spoke with satisfaction about the interest towards and investments of the Lithuanian companies in the economic projects in Armenia, noting that the cooperation in the economic area is gradually gaining momentum, fostering relations in the cultural area as well.
President Serzh Sargsyan praised Lithuanian assistance provided to Armenia on its road toward Eurointegration and exchange of experience regarding interaction with the European structures.
The President of Armenia and Ambassador of Lithuania stressed also the importance of developing cooperation in the framework of the EU Eastern Partnership program.
