Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Ali Saghaiyan who is ending his diplomatic mission in Armenia.Expressing gratitude to the Ambassador for contributing to strengthening the Armenian-Iranian relationship during his office Taron Margaryan attached importance to the personal contribution of the diplomat to establishment partnership between Yerevan and the Iranian cities. "I assure you that the existing friendly relations and partnership between Yerevan and its partner-cities in Iran will keep on developing and the Municipality within the framework of its powers will do its best to strengthen and expand these relations", said the Mayor.As the best example of the cooperation established between the two countries Taron Margaryan pointed out the efficient cooperation with the city of Tehran and the state of Mazandaran in the activities of landscaping and flower decoration of Yerevan.
Expressing gratitude for warm reception and the permanent assistance shown by the Municipality the Ambassador said that in these years Yerevan has really become a native city for him and for the members of his family. Seyed Ali Saghaiyan in his turn assured that he will go on contributing to strengthening and expansion of partnership between Yerevan and the cities of Iran. At the end of the meeting Mayor Taron Margaryan wished the Ambassador a lot of success in his further diplomatic activity.
