On May 2 within the framework of working visits the chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia visited Marmarik dam, built on the river Marmarik. Marmarik dam rehabilitation works were implemented due to the savings of World Bank ‘’Safety of Dams program ‘’. A thorough study and discussions were conducted before the launch of the works.Marmarik dam is located in Kotayk province. Primarily the project was designed for a dam with 64 meters height, 36, 9 million meters cubic overall and 34, 0 million meters cubic utility volume.The construction works of the dam finished in 2011. 4,874 billion AMD was spent for the construction works; 3,623 billion AMD invested by World Bank loans, 1,251 billion AMD funded by the Government of Armenia.
