Congress of Civil Society organizations allied with the Republican Party of Armenia.

Today in the “House of Moscow” launched the Congress of Civil Society Organizations allied with the Republican Party of Armenia which was attended by 361 heads of NGOs. The congress was also attended by RPA Deputy Chairman, head of RPA Campaign HQ, RA NA member Hovik Abrahamyan, chairman of RPA parliamentary faction, RA NA member Galust Sahakyan, members of RPA Council, RA NA members Artak Zakarian, Mktrich Minasyan and Araik Hovhannisyan. Speeches made at the congress touched upon the problems affecting different areas, as well as relevant recommendations to address these problems. At the end of the Congress, the civil society organizations, allied with the Republican Party of Armenia, issued a joint statement. Given the trends of mutually advantageous cooperation between RPA and NGOs and their enhancement, as well as bilateral willingness to put these trends into servitude for the vital interests of vulnerable groups of society, democratization and modernization of the country, participants of the Congress have announced their intention to support the Republican Party of Armenia in upcoming parliamentary elections. In his speech of appreciation Hovik Abrahamyan stressed the importance of implementing programs with the assistance of the government and on joint initiative of the Republican Party of Armenia and more than 200 civil society organizations. In his speech Mr. Abrahamyan stated: "The scope of NGO activities has always been the focus of the RA president, and you are very well aware that Public Council was launched only due to the initiative of the President and through the active cooperation of the Republican Party. RA president staff has implemented funding and organizational support of numerous social programs that were aimed at strengthening civil society institutions and enhancement of their efforts". He also mentioned the opportunities provided to the civil society organizations in accordance with the memorandum signed with the social network in the frameworks of cooperation in the legislative. Hovik Abrahamyan concluded his speech by saying: "With many years of fruitful cooperation experience, we are ready to continue to develop the positive results that have been achieved jointly in the name of our country and society."
