 A military parade marking the 20th anniversary of liberation of Shuhsi and formation of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army is to take place in Stepanakert, capital of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), on May 9.
“We are going to hold a grand military parade, with the participation of the Defense Army and different military equipment,” Senor Hasratyan, Head of the Information Department, NKR Defense Army, told Tert.am.
The Public Relations Department, Ministry of Defense of Armenia, told Tert.am that no military parade is planned in Yerevan on May 9. However, different festive events are expected to take place.
On May 9, 1992, Armenian troops liberated the town of Shushi in Nagorno-Karabakh.
