Armenian authorities are full of determination to conduct the most transparent and free elections in the history of newly independent Armenia, Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan said today at the "To Free and Democratic Elections" conference organized by the office of Armenia''s prosecutor general.
"Free and transparent elections are extremely important for our state. The authorities have political will to conduct such elections and Armenia''s public more than ever is ready for the conduction of free and just elections," the PM said.
According to him, during these years, making use of international technical assistance Armenia''s legislation has noticeably improved, including the Electoral code.
The head of the executive power noted that currently the law enforcement bodies have acquired new knowledge, skills, to convince the public that no violation will remain unpunished.
"In the contemporary IT century additional guarantees and opportunities are being created for the society. It is extremely important that each citizen of Armenia may get use of this opportunity," Tigran Sargsyan said. The prime minister expressed conviction that the conference will contribute to the conduction of free and transparent elections as the voters are presented their rights.
