President Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping on his election at that position.

“Your Excellency,

I cordially congratulate You and convey my best wishes on Your election as President of the People’s Republic of China.

I am confident that during Your tenure in office the increasing role of the People’s Republic of China on the international arena will continue to have its positive influence on the peaceful and stable global development.

Armenia attaches special importance to the steady development and deepening of its traditionally friendly relations with China. I am confident that further enhancement of our bilateral ties and contacts in different areas, as well as efficient cooperation on the international arena emanate from the vital interests of our two friendly states and peoples.

I reiterate my readiness to make utmost efforts toward further development of the Armenian-Chinese interstate friendly relations and overall enhancement of cooperation elevating them to a new level.

I wish You good health and success as well as happiness and prosperity to the friendly people of China,” the congratulatory letter of President Sargsyan reads.
