Serzh Sargsyan held pre-election meetings in Nork Marash, Nor Nork and Ajapnyak communities of Yerevan, representing his pre-election program called “Secure Armenia”, answering the questions of voters. Taking into consideration the celebrations dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Artsakh liberation movement, Serzh Sargsyan highlighted his program’s points concerning Nagorno Karabakh. He briefly touched upon the prehistory of the movement, the hardships of the war. “Having Armenian support, Artsakh keeps passing the peace examination with dignity. Saying a peace examination we mean a comprehensive development of the country, including economy and education, healthcare and culture, state and army building. Though, the greatest achievements of Artsakh are political ones: democracy, freedom of speech, successful parliamentary and presidential elections,” said Serzh Sargsyan.
He also spoke about the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, non-constructive position of Azerbaijan, as well as Armenia’s position on resolving the conflict through negotiations. “When we say “Secure Armenia”, we also mean Secure Artsakh,” noted Serzh Sargsyan. He underlined that it was a struggle for our independence, it was just and we won it.
