The regular working conference has taken place in the City Hall of Yerevan
During the regular working conference taken place in the City Hall it was reported that within the action of free medical aid for women who had been registered beforehand is still going on: more than 1900 women with heart problems were examined, 198 women with eyesight problems and 68 women with gynecological problems were operated on. The statue of Reader has been opened in the capital
Within the final events dedicated to Yerevan-World Book Capital Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan participated in the opening of the statue of Reader authored by artist and sculptor Nur (Arman Davtyan). The bronze statue was placed in a symbolic place: near the children’s library after Khnko Aper. The composition of more than 2 meters height is comprised of books and a lamp. The Adviser to the Mayor of Yerevan Aram Sukiasyan presented the program of the final events dedicated to declaration Yerevan World Book Capital by the UNESCO. Yerevan schoolchildren visited the monuments to the people after whom their schools are named
Today pupils of the schools subordinated to the Municipality of Yerevan visited the monuments of the honoured people after whom their schools had been named. On the event of the Day of Protection of Monuments the schoolchildren spent a lesson cleaning the areas of the monuments, then put flowers at the monuments of prominent figures.
