A memorial complex commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide opened in Almelo, Holland
On the event of the 99th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide a memorial complex commemorating the 1,5 million of innocent victims was unveiled in the city of Almelo, Netherlands. The construction of the unique memorial complex started in 2013 The memorial built in the land owned by the Armenian Apostolic Church, was created in accordance with the architectural style of Armenian churches. 16 khachkars (memorial cross-stones) were made of tufa brought from Armenia.
