 On the event of the 85th anniversary of the world chess double champion Tigran Petrosyan the Mayor of Yerevan, the President of Yerevan Chess Federation Taron Margaryan together with the director of the Chess Academy Smbat Lputyan and numerous chess lovers visited the area adjacent to the Chess House after Tigran Petrosyan to render the tribute of respect to the eminent Armenian chess player.  An extraordinary Cabinet sitting was held today, chaired by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan. The government approved a bill to amend the Administrative Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia. Enacted in 2007, the Code established in Paragraph 6, Part 1, Article 73 that copies of documents certifying the receipt of the application should be attached to the application itself. It will become possible to make use of free car parking for a longer time

By the initiative of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the project of a draft decision was included in the Council of Elders according to which it is planned to prolong the time for free car parking from 5 minutes to 15 minutes. Thus, all drivers including taxi-drivers will be given the possibility to park their cars free for three times more time. The same draft simultaneously provides for to expand the forms of payment for car parking fees on spot through corresponding terminals. more →
