Galust Sahakyan Receives Newly Appointed Ambassador of Serbia to Armenia

On April 19, the RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Armenia Dušan Spasojević.
Welcoming the Ambassador in the RA National Assembly, Galust Sahakyan congratulated him on the occasion of being appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Serbia to Armenia and wished him effective work.
Touching upon the Armenian-Serbian relations, the Speaker of the National Assembly has noted that they are based on friendship and mutual support. In that context Galust Sahakyan highlighted the role of the Friendship Groups functioning in the parliaments of the two countries in the development of bilateral relations and strengthening of ties between the two peoples.
Underlining the importance of the parliamentary diplomacy, the NA Speaker also talked about the mutual support and cooperation in the international structures.
Thanking the NA Speaker for the warm reception, Dušan Spasojević presented the political changes occurred in his country and conveyed the greetings of the Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia to the RA NA President.
Talking about the two peoples’ destinies and historical commonalities, the newly appointed Ambassador highlighted the boosting of cooperation between the two states in different spheres, and the strengthening of the peoples’ friendship.
Presenting the upcoming programmes, Dušan Spasojević talked about the liberalization of the entry visas between the two countries and the perspective of opening embassies in Serbia and in Armenia.
Galust Sahakyan expressed his support in the initiatives presented by the Ambassador and wished him success in his activities.
