During the official visit of the delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan to Artsakh the meeting with the NKR Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan was organized. Expressing satisfaction with the results of the cooperation between Yerevan and Stepanakert as well as between the administrative districts of Yerevan and the districts of NKR, the head of Artsakh government expressed gratitude for the initiative of cooperation with Artsakh and its consistent development.
“Mister Mayor, I'd like to express my gratitude to you for the consistence and efforts taken in the issue of cooperation expansion between Yerevan and Stepanakert and between the administrative districts of Yerevan and districts of NKR. Be sure that Artsakh people feel deep respect towards you and your team”, said the NK Prime Minister. Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan in his turn noted that friendly relations between the capitals and districts of two Armenian states get their practical expression in the program of cooperation established between Yerevan and Stepanakert. The Mayor also said that the process of implementation of the cooperation program is really successful and gives significant results in various spheres of urban economy.
“Within almost five-year period of official cooperation between the two capitals we achieved significant results. Ant this is only beginning which will serve a firm base for the realization of more serious programs in Artsakh. We are certainly satisfied with the results however we are not going to stop and we will do our best to strengthen and expand the cooperation”, said Mayor Taron Margaryan assuring that the program of realization will be continued in all directions.
For the contribution to strengthening the cooperation between Yerevan and KR government Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan awarded the NKR Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan with the memory medal “Emblem of Yerevan”.
For active participation in the programs of cooperation between Yerevan and Stepanakert a number of persons were awarded with Yerevan Mayor's honorary diplomas.
During the meeting the NKR Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan awarded a number of employees of Yerevan Municipality and administrative districts of Yerevan with Prime Minister's medal for their contribution and assistance in cooperation strengthening between Stepanakert and Yerevan.
