Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the ceremony of awarding the scholarship after this university graduate Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan. The ceremony was held in National Polytechnic University of Armenia.
Andranik Margaryan scholarship is awarded for a year to the bachelor student who outstands with excellent study in recent 4 terms and leads active public life. The NPUA Rector Vostanik Marukhyan in his greeting speech attached particular importance to the devotion of the big patriot to his native university stressing that NPUA and its students have always felt the consistence of Andranik Margaryan in the evaluation of educational system including the solution of the problems rooted before the university.
The RA NA delegate, the chairman of the Board of Trustees of NPUA Samvel Nikoyan,attaching importance to keeping traditions noted that becoming the awardee of Andranik Margaryan scholarship is a great responsibility for each student, as it is a call to be a patriot, to devote his life to native people and state.
The student of Cybernetics Department of NPUA Lusine Najaryan who was awarded Andranik Margaryn scholarship was handed the certificate by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan.
"Today I am here not only as the Mayor of Yerevan, but also as a member of the Margaryans family and on behalf of my family I am expressing deep gratitude to the Rector, to the students and the faculty for restoring this good tradition, and for keep my father's memory alive",said the Mayor.
