PRESIDENT RECEIVED THE MINISTER OF DEFENSE OF GEORGIA TINATIN KHIDASHELI

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the Minister of Defense of Georgia Tinatin Khidasheli who has arrived to Armenia on official visit.
The parties discussed issues related to the development and strengthening of the interstate relations, the Armenian-Georgian cooperation in the area of defense and issues pertinent to the regional security. The President of Armenia and Minister of Defense of Georgia stressed the importance of reciprocal high-level visits, which according to the parties, give a new impetus to the interstate relations, bring precision to the prospects of forthcoming cooperation and promote the practical and speedy resolution of the current issues.
The President of Armenia stressed the importance of the traditional Armenian-Georgian partnership and balanced approaches from the viewpoint of maintaining the regional peace and stability.
Minister Tinatin Khidasheli noted that Georgia highly values the millennia long good-neighborly relations of the Armenian and Georgian peoples and underscored that nothing can deviate the region’s two friendly nations with the ancient history from the path which they had embarked on thousands of years ago and will follow for another thousand years.
At the meeting, the Ministers of Defense of Armenia and Georgia presented to Serzh Sargsyan agreements on the Armenian-Georgian cooperation in the area of defense which have been reached during the interagency consultations held in the framework of Minister Tinatin Khidasheli’s visit to Armenia.
