Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the head of the EU delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switalsky

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the newly-appointed head of the EU delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switalski. Congratulating the Ambassador on starting his diplomatic mission in Armenia Mayor Taron Margaryan expressed confidence that the cooperation with the organization would go on being coordinated and effective.
''We attach importance to cooperation expansion and strengthening with international organization, which in parallel with instillation of democratic system contributes to modernization and development of infrastructures, to significant quality increase of services and is a good opportunity to carry out experience exchange. So, we are willing to go on our cooperation with the European Union and I assure you that Yerevan Municipality is open for cooperation in any format'', said the Mayor.
Referring to the programs being implemented under EU financing Taron Margaryan noted that it makes it possible to gain new partners.
''Today Yerevan Municipality implements a number of important credit projects and we should be consistent so that they will be realized successfully. Simultaneously, we expect the Europen Union support in our new initiatives'', stressed the Mayor.
Expressing gratitude for warm welcome and long cooperation willingness the head of the EU delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switalski expressed his satisfaction to the Mayor for dynamic development of Yerevan outlining that in the person of Yerevan Municipality the European Union has a reliable partner.
''I assure you, Mister Mayor, that I have become a real resident of Yerevan and I really feel at home here. All the programs and initiatives I have witnessed in this short period in Yerevan are worth appreciation. It's obvious that the city has taken the way of dynamic development. We also attach importance to cooperation expansion with Yerevan Municipality and I am glad that within the frames joint programs we can contribute to Yerevan development'', said Piotr Switalski.
During the meeting the parties also discussed the issues related to the implementation of the programs financed by the European Union.
