The second part of the program “Young leaders 2015-2016” was held in Budapest with the participation of RPA youth members

On 10-15 November in the capital of Hungary Budapest the Robert Schuman Institute in co-operation with “Eduardo Frey” foundation held the second part of the program “Young leaders 2015-2016”. As RPA Press Service reports 20 young people, from various countries of the Eastern Europe participated in the program.
The RPA Youth Organization was represented by Julieta Nikoghosyan and Grisha Amirkhanyan. We should mention that “Young leaders 2015-2016” is a series of training courses, which next part will be held in January.
The goal of this initiative is to enlarge young political leaders’ practical and theoretical knowledge on political, economic, social-cultural and civil challenges and developments in Europe, to introduce fundamental values of democracy and particularly Christian democracy.
The program started with opening remarks by the Director of Robert Schuman Institute Gabor Berczeli and the RSI Program Head Violetta Horváth.
The official opening ceremony was followed by the presentation by the EPP Secretary on External Relations Patrick Voller on the challenges of the EPP international activity and international relations.
Such issues as “Migration in Europe”, “Russia’s influence on the Central and Eastern Europe”, “Energy as security factor”, “NATO-EU relations” were discussed during the program. The training courses were accompanied by practical works on the issues of national sovereignty defense, crisis management, management of international relations.
