 On September 29 the RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan had a farewell meeting with Mohammad Raiesi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia.

Highly assessing the Ambassador’s diplomatic activities Galust Sahakyan especially highlighted the programmes and projects implemented as a result of cooperation of the RA National Assembly and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The RA NA Speaker has noted that now greater opportunities of cooperation are created, the projects which were postponed before will restart. Galust Sahakyan has emphasized the rise of Iran’s position in the region after the recent events and has documented that in that respect Armenia is the most concerned side. Spotlighting the active and effective work and mutual visits of the parliamentary friendship groups, the NA Speaker has stated that today the Armenian-Iranian relations are at high level and new opportunities are created for more deepening them.

Galust Sahakyan wished Mohammad Raiesi new successes during his working activities.

Thanking for the reception Mohammad Raiesi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, underlined Galust Sahakyan’s big role in the deepening of the Armenian-Iranian relations. Mohammad Raiesi also emphasized the role of the parliamentary diplomacy in the development of the relations of the friendly countries. The Ambassador thanked the Speaker of the National Assembly for assisting the programmes initiated and implemented by the Embassy during the years of his diplomatic mission.
